WWE RAW SUMMERSLAM HEATWAVE TOUR: COLUMBUS, GA
The WWE made its return to the Columbus Civic Center with a decent card on Friday night, featuring a three-way Women's Championship match and several stars from the roster. No Way Jose handed Curt Hawkins his 210th consecutive loss at the 8:11 mark with a flying forearm in the opening match. The crowd got involved in this decent opener. Titus Worldwide went over The Ascension in 7:23 in match 2, with Titus O'Neal hitting his sit-down powerbomb on Viktor. It was another sound match that had the crowd cheering. Time to Walk With Elias next. As he prepares to sing a song he has "written for Columbus," Bobby Lashley's music interrupts him. Lashley enters the ring, and Elias suggests they sing together. Elias plays and sings "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" and invites Lashley and the crowd to join in. This prompts Elias to jump Lashley from behind, leading to a suplex from Lashley. The crowd goes wild as Elias retreats and Lashley stands tall. Bayley and Sasha Banks faced Liv Morgan and Alicia Fox in the third match. Bayley pinned Morgan with the Bayley to Back at 8:19, and the crowd was thrilled. Baron Corbin faced Finn Balor in match 4. Corbin attacked Balor during the introductions, giving him an early advantage. Balor fought back and secured the victory at 8:50 with his Coup de Grace. Balor received the loudest reaction of the night so far. Zack Ryder and Chad Gable took on the Authors of Pain after the intermission. The AOP emerged victorious in the 6:10 match. The Women's Championship three-way match followed with Natalya battling Ember Moon and Alexa Bliss, accompanied by Mickie James. Bliss retained her title with a roll-up on Moon at 9:29, amid fast-paced action and James' interference. The final match of the evening featured Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre facing Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. Rollins pinned Mahal with the Curb Stomp after an intense 21:31 match. The building was around three quarters full, with an estimated 7000-8000 fans in attendance. Despite the absence of Braun Strowman, Kevin Owens, and Dolph Ziggler, it was a fantastic night of entertainment!
